No, you do not need an IBS diagnosis to work with me. This program is based on healing gut dysfunction, and the symptoms associated with this. Since most people suffer with gut symptoms for 6.5 years before being diagnosed with IBS, working through this program can help you gain control over your symptoms whether you've been formally diagnosed or not.
We can directly accept FSA/HSA, but sadly, insurance does not cover ingetrative care. My clients find that they save thousands by working with me and following my effective, step-by-step approach, instead of continuing to spend money on their health elsewhere without seeing results.
Each client will receive one GI MAP test (which is a stool test that checks for digestive health, inflammation, and microbiome diversity), and one Adrenal Stress Profile (which is a urine or saliva test that shows your 24-hour cortisol curve, revealing any adrenal dysfunction that could be contributing to your symptoms).
Krissy has practiced as a Board Certified Physician Assistant since 2005, obtaining her Masters Degree from the University of Florida. Her undergraduate degree was in Exercise Physiology + Kinesiology, and she completed additional specialized certification for management and treatment of IBS through the GI Institute.
We accept new applicants at the start of each month, and take anywhere from 3-5 new clients at a time, based on availability. Because this is a high-touch, one to one service, Krissy limits her new clients each month so she can spend the time needed to personalize her clients' care plans, and be available between visits for questions that may arise. I have spent almost 20 years in clinical medicine, and one thing that stands out is a lack of nutrition and lifestyle guidance. So much emphasis is placed on "fixing" a specific symptoms, but not enough attention is spent on finding out why you have the symptom in the first place.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, IBS, and adrenal fatigue. After my hysterectomy to treat the cancer, I faced an uphill battle to resolve my gut issues and total burnout. I did this while still working, raising 2 (sweet) children, and running our household.
I quickly realized that treating my bloating/diarrhea, and complete exhaustion needed more than the temporary solutions and prescriptions I was being given, and I turned to functional medicine to find the root of my issues, and truly solve the underlying issues.
This program is the framework I needed (and used) to finally heal my gut symptoms, and resolve my adrenal fatigue. I now share this framework with women like you, to give you a healing plan that I wish I had at the start of my health journey.
